Almost Heaven is a perfectly, peaceful oceanfront retreat.  The soft colors of the interior welcome you home to the beach.  Upon entering the front door, you will see the spacious, open floor plan, and the Atlantic Ocean in the back ground.  The stylish decor and and comfy furnishings will invite you to make yourself at home.  Almost Heaven is pet friendly and has a fenced side yard for your pooch.  Like so many others, there's a good possibility that you will want to make Almost Heaven your annual vacation destination.

Ample Room to Relax

Part of the renovation to Almost Heaven included opening the living room, kitchen, and dining areas to each other. Now you can enjoy time with friends and family whether you are watching your favorite movie, cooking a delicious meal, or sitting down to eat together.  From any spot in the open floor plan, you will enjoy serene views of the ocean.   The living room comfortably seats six around a flat screen TV.  The dining area has a dinner table with seating for six as well.  There are also four bar stools at the breakfast bar. 

Your comfort and relaxation aren't limited to the indoors!  Step out on the oceanfront deck and you will see and hear the waves lapping the shoreline. The deck has two closets for beach chairs and toys.  You can work on your tan up on the elevated tanning deck, or stay cool in the shady hammock underneath.  And of course, you are just a few steps from getting your toes in the sand. 

Well Appointed Bedrooms and Updated Bathrooms

Almost Heaven has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.  The master bedroom is on the ocean side of the house.  It features a king bed, bedside dressers with reading lamps, a large dresser with a flat screen TV on top, and a walk in closet.  From the master bedroom, there is a private exit to the deck.  The master bathroom has also been completely remodeled.  It has beautiful granite counter tops with his and hers sinks, crisp lighting, and an elegant walk-in shower.

The second bedroom is cheerfully decorated.  It has a comfy queen bed and a large dresser.  Small bedside tables are found on either side of the bed, each with a drawer and reading lamp.  There is a roomy closet to put your hanging clothes and suit cases.

The third bedrooms was designed with kids in mind.  It has a twin-over-double bunk bed.  There is also a pull-out trundle underneath with another mattress, allowing 4 kids to sleep in this room.  A dresser and desk are also offered, as well as another good sized closet.  Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination.

Along with all of the bed linens, we also provide all of the beach and bath towels you will need for your stay.

Polices and More: 


  • Cancellation Policy:  When a reservation is made, refunds are made ONLY if the house becomes uninhabitable OR if you cancel 60 days prior of your check in date. If you cancel within 60 days of your check in, any funds that have been collected are non-refundable unless, we are able to rent the house again for the same dates and price. If a portion of the rental time is re-booked, a pro-rata refund will be made. All refunds due to renter-initiated cancellations are subject to a 5% administrative fee. We encourage you to obtain trip cancellation insurance.  This can be made during the reservation process or several companies are listed on our web site under the "FAQ" tab.
  • Hurricane Policy: Hurricane refunds will be issued only if the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation in our immediate area in St. John's County. When a mandatory evacuation order is given, we will refund (a) any unused portion of rent from a guest currently renting the house; (b) any unused portion of rent from a scheduled renter who wants to arrive after the hurricane order is lifted; or (c) any advance rents collected for a renter scheduled to arrive during the mandatory evacuation period. Any scheduled rentals after the hurricane are not subject to any refunds unless the house is uninhabitable.  Any damages to the beach or surrounding area is not cause for a refund. It will be the owner/property manager discretion to offer any such refund.
  • Pandemic Clause:  A refund will only be given if the Florida Governor bans short term rentals or if beach that the property sits on are closed.  Any portion of days that the ban is in place will be given a refund.  An administrative fee of 5% may be deducted from any refund.
